Sun Rays

Awesome sunrise in Sydney this morning. These photos were shot facing in the westerly direction, in this case I did reduce the exposure in Lightroom to make the rays standout a little more.

Enjoy,

A New Venture & Photos of Layton Crambrook's V8 Ute

This past weekend has started a new journey for me. I have decide to expand & rebrand my work in the photography, media & web space. After months of employing huge creative teams we have come up with a new brand name that envelopes all of our current & future endeavours.

So what name did we settle with?

craigcoomansmedia

Ok, I came up with it myself and didn't employ any creative teams, I still think it is catchy though.

I will launch & communicate my new endeavours in the very short term future. In the meantime, here is a taste in (of course) photos. More news soon!

Powercruise at Eastern Creek Raceway - Day 3

Better late than never. Overall I was very impressed with Powercruise. After attending the first few years I didn't make it to the last couple - it certainly has gone from strength to strength and I hope to be at the next event at Eastern Creek.

On to the photos!

Powercruise at Eastern Creek Raceway - Day 2

Just over a day late but here are the photos from Powercruise Sydney, day 2, held at Eastern Creek Raceway.

More cars turned up for day 2, with some unbelievable burnout action at night. It's been a while since I had seen a burnout competition - apparently it's all the rage now for methanol fueled cars to dump fuel by 'pumping' the accelerator then with the heat on the tyres, lighting 'em up, no matter the expense paid on their cars.

The other photo I should mention is the photo of the large turbonetics turbo. The 'small turbo ornament' you see at the front of the shop is actually the owners wedding ring! Amazing...

Once again that is enough with the chatter. As usual with live event photos, these are RAW images. Simply converted from RAW to JPG with no exposure adjustment or cropping - almost straight out of the camera!

Last day's photos will be posted tomorrow...

Powercruise at Eastern Creek Raceway - Day 1

What a day, up at 4:30am to drive to work and get a full day's work completed prior to heading out to Powercruise Sydney held at Eastern Creek Raceway (where I am covering the event, primarily for the organisers).

If you have never attended Powercruise then the lowdown is very different to other car shows. At Powercruise the cars actually do laps of the circuit (not timed) where they can have fun or simply cruise. On top of the cruising you then have standard events with the power skid being the only non-standard event in my eyes (Powerskid are where cars take off in a straight line, no braking, to see who can do the longest burnout / skid).

If you are into 'street machine' type cars it's a must attend event. You get to see all different types of cars cruising, from sleepers to creepers to monster drag machines. It has been a few years since I last attended and the show has definitely gone from strength strength.

Enough with the chatter, check out the photos! As usual with live event photos, these are RAW images. Simply converted from RAW to JPG with no exposure adjustment or cropping - almost straight out of the camera!

Another 2 days to enjoy yet...

Photos from Bathurst 12 Hour - Day 2

Some more shots from Day 2 at the Bathurst 12 Hour race weekend. I just wish I had a bigger & more powerful laptop to really churn though more photos and check them for exposure, etc. Instead you will just have to put up with a smaller collection that is simply converted from RAW to JPG.

Enjoy,

/craig.

More Photos from Day 1 at the Bathurst 12 Hour

I have hopefully chosen a good range of cars for everyone to enjoy. These are all raw images from the camera, simply converted to JPG via lightroom - I haven't had the time nor the computing power to do a better selection & editing job.

Back to the circuit tomorrow for (hopefully) some different angles.

Enjoy,

/craig.

A Foggy Early Morning On The Station

Here's an early morning shot from Blaxland railway station this morning. Seeing the fog through the lights on the platform meant I couldn't resist taking a shot.

Enjoy,
